Mr. Ang Seng Hing

Vice President (Ushamas Forwarding (M) S/B)

With over four decades (Since 1982) of hands-on experience in the logistics industry, Mr. Ang Seng Hing is the founder of Ushamas Forwarding (M) Sdn Bhd, established in 1982. What began as a modest customs brokerage has, under his steady guidance, grown into a comprehensive operation encompassing freight forwarding, transportation, and warehousing services. His journey reflects not only resilience and foresight but also a deep-rooted understanding of the logistics sector from the ground up.

Mr. Ang joined the SFFLA committee in the year 2000, driven by a sincere commitment to the betterment of the logistics community. Guided by his personal belief “to solve industry issues in port operation whenever possible,” he has continuously contributed his time and insights, often working quietly in the background to support the association’s objectives and strengthen its foundation.

Over the years, Mr. Ang has served  as Vice President since 2015, during which he led the Port Operations portfolio — overseeing both conventional and containerised cargo operations. His leadership in this area reflects the confidence fellow members place in his practical experience and thoughtful decision-making.

In addition to port operations, Mr. Ang is also actively involved in other key portfolios, particularly those relating to Kastam and Other Government Agencies (OGA), where his in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience continue to be a strong asset to the association.

While he may not always seek the spotlight, Mr. Ang’s presence in the committee is a steadying force — a reminder that impactful leadership often comes through consistency, humility, and a deep commitment to the long-term progress of the industry.
